Greetings from New Jersey.
Would it be that we are on holiday, no. We are in the US undergoing another round of IVF in the hope of having a little brother or sister for Samuel.
There is so very much to relate about what has happened since the last update.
Samuel is walking everywhere. We went to the outlet mall today and I was unable to look at clothes in Carter's because Samuel was darting in and out of the racks of clothes. I thought I had lost him a few times. He is quite small and the racks of clothes were a great hiding place for him. He is just about ready to run. Not looking forward to life upon our return to Chatou. Samuel does not sit still for a moment. We are staying at friends of Julia's in New Jersey and, unfortunately, Samuel has misplaced quite a few of their belongings. The house is not quite baby proof and despite our best efforts Samuel continues to find things and bring them to us that we have no idea where they came from. Sorry, Jane and Sandip, we are doing our best but some items may not be where they belong when you return.
When we were undergoing the IVF we stayed at the Helmsley Medical Towers, which is the guest facility located next to NY Presbyterian, where our IVF doc is affiliated. Samuel learned to open doors while were staying there. Not a pleasant thought as neither of us remember what type of door handles we have in Chatou so we are unable to purchase safety equipment to prevent Samuel from opening doors in out house in Chatou.
During this 3 week trip Samuel and I took a quick 2 day trip to Denver so that Samuel could see his first American baseball game. He is even more spoiled now as we had the best seats in the ballpark. For those of you that follow baseball we were sitting in the first row behind home plate. The Rockies have a mascot named Dinger who is a purple dinosaur that can twist his head 360 degrees. Samuel did not like Dinger. Dinger did his best to befriend Samuel but Samuel wanted nothing to do with Dinger. Video will be posted to youtube upon our return to Chatou.
Samuel also discovered the toilet while we were in NY. He flushed a toy when I was unaware that he was standing next to me as I flushed. Samuel dropped a toy and a washcloth into the toilet just as I flushed. I was able to save the washcloth but the toy joined the many alligators living in the sewers of NY.
